WaSHi tApE Craft

Another great Saturday morning with our creative kids!
Today we made very cute birdhouses from milk cartons and decorated them with colourful Washi tape.
For this craft activity we need:

• milk carton
• washi tape and washi tape "look" tapes
• scissors
• double sided tape
• oval/round shape for a door
• paddle pop sticks

First, we assembled the milk carton and cut the shape for the birdhouse door.

The next step was to decorate the birdhouse with Washi tape and glue the paddle pop sticks for the roof.

We added the little paper clip on the top of the roof to use for hanging on the tree.

Pencil holder

Hello, hello! It's been a very long time since my last post...Hmm... I am back now with lots and lots of crafting fun for kids and adults.
We started our Term 1 craft classes today and had a great morning painting and decorating Pencil holder made from paper rolls.

Here is a little tutorial for our craft activity:

Material

• paper rolls
• wooden piece for a base
• PVA glue and glue gun
• acrylic paint
• glitter
• tissue paper
• shells

Instructions

1.  Draw a line around roll and snip at even intervals. 
2. Fold out the strips. Apply PVA glue (or use glue gun) inside the strips and glue all strips to the piece of wood (base). 
3. Glue the scrunched tissue paper to the rolls and to the base. 
4. Paint over with acrylic paint.

School Holiday Craft Classes

Hello crafty friends!

Our first holiday craft class in new year was so much fun. We made colourful tie dyed T-shirts (I apologize about pictures, they are verrrry, verrrry bright...I changed camera settings :(

We welcomed Tiarne, Zara and Millie to our happy creative group.  

 

Our next craft class is on Wednesday 18th January 10-11.30 am at Craft studio VANJA. We will make some kool staff with paper clay. Hope to see you than.

Pom Pom Fun Craft Class

Boys are creating

We had fun making pom poms yesterday at craft class. We welcomed our new friends Indie, Sam and Joe who enjoyed playing with yarn and making colourful pom poms. 

Our next craft class is on Saturday October 1st at Chertseydale Community Cottage. See you there!

Vanja's Design - Kids Craft Classes - 4th Term dates out now

Vanja is happy to announce the new dates and activities organised for the upcoming Kids Craft Classes.

Classes are held each Saturday between 10am and 11.30am at the Chertseydale Community Cottage, Willow Road, Springfield on the Central Coast. Places are limited and bookings are essential by emailing here or telephoning 0423 268 929.
